Your Beard Guide – The Verdi

Through 2016, Detroit Beard Collective in conjunction with Your Beard Guide will be offering an intimate look into the world of beards. In this weekly series we will be introducing you to the World Beard and Mustache Association recognized styles.

Inspired by Giuseppe Verdi, an Italian opera composer, the Verdi is a style of full beard identified by it’s short and rounded bottom and being no longer than 10cm in length from the bottom lip. A distinct feature of the Verdi is the slightly styled mustache, no more than 1.5cm past the corner of the mouth and styled (usually with the distinguished curl.)

Per WBMA, in addition to the length requirements, styling products are allowed for competition with the Verdi full beard style.
